JEFFREY ANDERSON

DESIGNER Q&A

What are your main influences? What is your design philosophy?

I listen closely to what the customer thinks and wants. Then, I start working the dream and presenting them with what I think will work best in the space.

What do you love most about designing?

People; I love people. In most cases, I form such a connection with clients we stay in contact afterwards.

What has been your favorite project to date?

My favorite project was with a couple from Arizona. They gave me the floor plans to their house and I designed each room without ever seeing the house. I had two trucks of furniture shipped there. I met them at the house and had everything all laid out. They loved it; didn’t return one thing. It was really satisfying.

What are your favorite brands/materials to work with?

I like the look of Taylor King, it is very fashion forward with a commitment to quality and comfort. I also like Stickley who does a great job with upholstery and tailoring is top of the line.

What are your favorite rooms to work on?

I don’t particularly have a favorite. I think each room is an exciting project. Bedrooms can be very personal and romantic and great rooms or big, open rooms are fun because of the possibilities. I can create multiple conversation areas or whatever the client wants.

What makes Paul Schatz special? Why should people come here for their furnishings?

The variety of manufacturers we carry. I also like working for a company that’s been in business as long as Paul Schatz. The company is very trustworthy and hard working.
